The task
Made at Méridien, for the opening of the Grand Egyptian Museum: tell the story of the museum's centrepiece, a colossus of Ramesses II, from the Aswan quarry to the atrium it stands in now.
The result
A scroll-driven feature live on mrdn.world, built on custom 3D models of the colossus and a map that follows its journey. 362K views on Reddit. Along the way the research untangled a long-standing mix-up between two different Ramesses II statues that even major publications repeated.
