Creating new ways to see, feel and experience data

Alexander Bogachev, data visualization lead and visual storyteller. Complex data made into visible and memorable experiences, for museums and science centres, universities and brands.

Interactive worlds, installations, explainers and data art. From research to the finished piece: concept, data, design and code.

Football Data Portraits

Every match of World Cup 2026 turned into a generative data portrait. All 104 matches rebuilt in 3D, each from about 1,500 real logged events. No AI, nothing staged.

Data doesn’t always need another chart. Sometimes it needs a landscape, a visual language, an interactive world, or a moment of wonder.

About

Alexander Bogachev

I gave twelve years to medicine. I worked as a physician, a cardiologist and an interventional radiologist, and I was writing a dissertation when I understood that my real passion was infographics. So data visualization became the work. I learned it properly, wrote a book about it, and the book became a bestseller.

I have been doing data visualization, infographics and media projects for almost fifteen years now. In the last few years my focus has moved past data visualization itself: I think in terms of user experience and immersive experiences, and I borrow from neighbouring fields to make data something you can explore.

Today I lead data visualization at Méridien, a knowledge-design studio. The two personal projects above did nine million views between them. Outside work I log my own life as data: my French progress runs as a public dashboard, and a paper-trading experiment is getting ready for its second round.
